We
won’t say that everyone lived happily ever after, because not everyone did.
Lily was doing hard time, Philip had a reputation to rebuild, and Sam’s Club
had to do without its best cereal sorter. We can, however, truthfully say that
everything was resolved, justice had been done, and peace had been restored.
And in a world as random as ours,
that’s the best we can hope for.
